The SAMUEL COUNCIL CHAPTER OF THE 555TH PIA FOCUS for 2014

Our Chapters focus is about giving back to the community and this is accomplished through a series of projects.

First, by making each mission a community mission and not just chapters mission. We are in co-op with Vette's Unlimited (Corvette Club of Fayetteville), and 3rd BDE of the 82nd ABN Division, 18th FIRES BDE of the 82nd ABN Division, Second Harvest Food Bank and TIGAPA (Trust In God And Press Ahead) Village Foundation Inc. Together we provide a Food Givaway program and scholarships to 12 High Schools in Cumberland County, and to Overhills High School in Harnett County. In 2007 the chapter presented 30 scholarships and in 2008 the chapter presented 33 scholarships. Our goal for 2013/2014 fund raising is to raise enough money to provide 48 scholarships to be presented in 2014.

We also provide food assistance to needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. The chapter also participates heavily in numerous other community programs.
